A lovely 2 bedroom condo on a golf course, mind you golf is wasted on us. Fully kitted out. Quiet location. Wifi of course and a swimming pool on site. Thanks to Dennis and Nancy.
Great time of year to be there. Nice and warm but not humid. Spend Christmas day on one of the best beaches in America. We’re not really beach people but what a change to trade a grey Christmas day in Belthorn for the White sands of a beach.
Thought Sarasota was just going to be another one of those touristy, beachy towns of Florida. Yes, it does have some great beaches, but it’s also a city of culture. Awesome theatres and concerts, had a great time with concerts and plays. Really enjoyed the musical 1776, and thats coming from someone who hates musicals. Then there’s Myakk state park and kayaking around the shores.
After 4 weeks we managed to pick up a Caribbean cruise from Florida. It’s so much cheaper booking cruise direct in America in dollars than in sterling, saved about £400 each.
