Spent two weeks in a gorgeous log home in the wilds of Blue Ridge. We were 5 miles off the beaten track and with very few neighbours, most of whom didn’t seem aware that the civil war was over or if they were they were in total denial. Also had a car with the home. One of the features of the home was an outside deck complete with fireplace so we just had to have a log fire evening and do smores.
Lovely countryside around and Blue Ridge is a quaint little tourist town but not spoilt. Visited a few waterfalls and a few more civil war battle fields. Saw an awesome civil war re-enactment at Tunnel Hill, it was the best ever, a great day out.
